A pretty room with the option of either a king size double bed or two twin beds.
The vintage embroidered bed sheets come from our local brocante. Hopefully when you visit this Aladdin’s cave with me you will strike lucky and unearth similar treasures too to take home as souvenirs.
I hope the homemade ‘cupcake’ lampshade beside the bed will make you look twice! I spent a happy morning embellishing the simple shade with paper baking cases and tiny mother of pearl buttons.
From the window you can look up the driveway, with lovely old oak trees full of birdlife.
There are two separate bathrooms to choose from, a few paces down the corridor, either with a traditional bath or a walk-in shower. Plus another loo.
Mobility Note:
Lots of small steps and uneven ground are all part of the charm of this ancient site, so enjoy its idiosyncrasies as you wander around gently.
